So I just noticed (herp de derp i dont usually pay attention to all these things) that the Min Assault has a faster spring speed than the Gal Scout! How outragious! These things are running around with sprint mods and shotguns being even better scouts than the real scouts! Sure they dont do EWAR as good, but they dont need EWAR because they are sprinting at you faster than a speeding bullet, only the keenly aware are able to react in enough time.
CCP Rattatai if you want to keep the Min Assault as fast as it is, please buff the speeds of real scouts to compensate, or nerf the speed of the Min Assault so its still the fastest assault but not as fast as any of the scouts (except maybe the amaar scout, but I dunno, its still up for debate) |

Min assault does need looking at though.

Gal scout 7.63 Ama scout 7.35 Cal scout 7.63 Min scout 7.91
Gal assault 7.00 Ama assault 6.72 Cal assault 7.00 Min assault 7.42
Ok so the Min assault is a little bit slower than 3/4 of the scouts, but it has 200 stamina which is the same as the cal scout and gal scout, and 20/s better stamina recovery than the cal scout and gal scout. Since it doesnt start with EWAR it doesnt have to put low slots into dampening if it doesnt want to. It can still dedicate 3 or 4 of its low slots to sprinting mods and still have 4 high slots to improve its tanking a bit too.
Its a beast with its base stats as they are and the 8 module slot layout giving it high adaptability. And its only 0.21 m/s slower than the two medium speed scouts, while being faster than the slowest scout. |

Scouts are more likely to use a low slot for a dampener than assaults, by virtue of wanting to keep the advantage of the EWAR they already have. One dampener on an assault is ok, but not nessisary. One dampener on a scout is almost essential. Lower base HP means you need to be smarter in your positioning to keep out of sight, and also have dampening to make sure you dont get scanned. And as a scout you probably going to want either a reactive or ferroscale plate too, and this, and that, and so on.
A Gallente scout or amarr scout decked out only with sprinting modules in the low slots and using a shotgun will be worse off in general than a minmitar assault decked out with only sprinting modules in the slow slots and a shotgun. |

Thanks for the backup data! I was just lookin at the suit into on the 'show info' stuff, wasnt able to check an actual dropsuit fitting to see how it compared. |

That has to be the reason gal scout with shotgun is the second best killer combo in PC. But I guess PC players dont know ****...
And CCP Rat said the Min Assault is working its way up the stats after the recent changes to it. And its because its borken! |
